RULES, BITCH.
RULE #1.
No godmodding. No metagaming, breaching the IC/OOC divide, or assuming your character knows what goes on behind wards or other private means. Just don't do it. If you’re ever hesitant, err on the side of caution and obtain player consent first.

RULE #2.
No drama, please. It’s the most basic tenet of our happy pretendy funtime. If you are experiencing some conflict, however, please do come to us about it! Moderators moderate, after all. It’s our job to make sure everyone is as happy as possible, and we’re always there to field your complaints and questions. There are three of us, so you can always go to the mod who makes you most comfortable.

RULE #3.
Sensitive content (e.g. pregnancies, sexual assault, terminal illness, murder and death, or other potentially-triggering matters) must be run by the mods before being brought into the game. The same goes for any larger plot which will affect multiple characters; we’d appreciate a heads-up via email first!

RULE #5.
Don’t be a douche. If you repeatedly defy these rules, make our players uncomfortable, or otherwise harmfully affect the equilibrium of the game, you can and will be kicked out. IC actions will also have IC consequences, and we’ll try to enforce this as best as possible.
FAQs.
WHEN AND WHERE DOES THE QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP (QWC) TAKE PLACE?
Good question! The United States of America has won the high honor of hosting the Quidditch World Cup of 2011. Each Quidditch match that we will see throughout the course of this game will be hosted in an American city that was deliberately hand-picked for the event. A fully-detailed chart of each match and its host city is available here.

WHAT REGIONAL TEAM CAN MY CHARACTER PLAY FOR?
Entirely up to you! We’ve come up with a lengthy list of teams for the countries which have made it this far into the World Cup. You are by no means limited to this list -- though it’s probably in your best interests to choose a pre-created team, since it’ll increase the chances that you’ll have some other team members kicking around. And intra-team history and interaction is always good, right?

SO MY GUY CAN PLAY FOR ENGLAND EVEN THOUGH HE ISN’T ENGLISH?
Yes and no. On the regional level (that is, playing for smaller provincial teams such as Australia's Woollongong Warriors or Germany's Bavarian Beasts), your character can play for a country that is not his/her own. On the national level (that is, the Quidditch World Cup), your character MUST play for the country in which he or she holds citizenship.

CAN I PLAY GINNY WEASLEY/GWENOG JONES/VIKTOR KRUM/OTHER CANON NAME HERE?
No. All characters here must be Original Characters (OCs) in the sense that, though your character may have a canon surname or be related to canon Quidditch players, all characters must be of your own creation. We feel this eliminates an unnecessary sense of competition among applicants. Furthermore, we do not accept challenges for PBs, positions or anything else that can be challenged.

ARE THERE ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS AT THIS GAME?
Just play them. We don’t have a particular requirement in mind and we don’t like booting players from the game, but we’ll notice if you disappear and we’ll start sending you ransom notes in the mail.

SAY, WHAT IS THE CHARACTER LIMIT??
Three (3) characters. Three shall be the number thou can play, and the number of the playing shall be three.
